On top of the Bay
This shot from Thurs around 7:30am local departing KPAO for SLC. The marine layer is always beautiful on top. This shot is looking south. San Jose is off the right wing.

Ah, on top… the best part of flying IFR. It always amazes me when a gray, rainy sky turns into blue and sunny, within seconds when getting on top. You an see some of my on top pictures under http://www.plasticpilot.net/gallery/PhotoGallery?gallery=28&id=103
They were taken during a rainy day in England, but we got on top over the English channel. Memorable.

Yeah, coming out on top is one of the great moments! I flew over that layer from Salinas to San Fran one time and it’s a beautiful memory!
